The VIP Partners are an experienced team of individuals with an uncommon set of skills. The backgrounds of the Partners include substantial experience relevant to the private equity industry including venture capital investing, senior operating management positions, finance, marketing and business development, merchant and investment banking. This experience includes providing advisory services on corporate strategies, including product and market expansion, negotiating mergers and acquisitions, taking companies public, negotiating the sale of companies, preparation and negotiation of transactional documents, corporate finance, enterprise valuation analysis, preparation and analysis of offering memoranda and screening, selection and closing of strategic business partner relationships.
The Partners believe that they can add the most value and generate superior returns on investments through working as a team. This teamwork approach applies all of the relevant skills of the Partners, Co-General Partners, and other strategic syndicate members to the investment process. The Partners believe that their substantial experience and broad and complementary backgrounds,working in concert with the broad universe of VIP's relationships will enable them to build significant investor value.
The Team:
Michael Kromirs--Managing Partner
Mr. Kromirs has over 25 years of experience in investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, capital formation, venture capital and emerging company development. Mr. Kromirs began his investment-banking career in New York with the firm of Hornblower and Weeks. In 1974 Mr. Kromirs moved to Bache Stuart Halsey Inc. as vice-president of mergers and acquisitions. In 1979, Mr. Kromirs joined Asset Management Investments, a private venture capital firm, with $22 million under management. Since 1985, Mr. Kromirs has been involved with start-up companies, developing coherent and innovative financing strategies. He is the author of "The Guide for Business Financing" and a frequent speaker for entrepreneurship forums and venture capital seminars. His experience as an entrepreneur/business owner, investment banker, and venture capitalist provides a unique and comprehensive perspective for VENTURE INVESTMENT PARTNERS, LLC's Portfolio Companies and Investing Partners.
Michael E. Sinagoga--Partner and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Sinagoga has over fifteen years of experience as a senior financial analyst working with both emerging and Fortune 1000 companies. He specializes in business planning,
strategic financial analysis, and accounting operations. His areas of expertise include audits, development of financial models for company valuations, design and implementation of internal controls, cost analysis and information systems. Mr. Sinagoga utilizes his experience and skills performing financial feasibility analysis to ensure the development and financial stability of your fund's portfolio companies. Adhering to Venture Investment Partners, LLC's dedication and commitment to ethical fund management, Mr. Sinagoga is responsible for maintaining the highest degree of financial reporting standards for the firms private equity funds. Mr. Sinagoga is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Gary L. Moreau--Partner
Mr. Moreau has nearly 25 years of experience in senior level corporate and entrepreneurial management. He provides formal mentoring and coaching to portfolio company C.E.O'S. Mr. Moreau began his career at Oneida Ltd. as a financial analyst and early developer of just-in-time production and delivery systems. At 32 he became president of the consumer products division, which was fighting intense import competition. Over the next five years the company gained significant market share while enjoying strong margin improvement. After spending five more years as president of the NYSE parent company, Mr. Moreau joined Martin Davis, architect of the Paramount Communications restructuring, as an operating partner in his investment company and CEO of Lionel LLC. In 2000, Mr. Moreau founded Pratt's Hollow Advisors LLC, a coaching and advisory firm, where he has assisted both entrepreneurs and corporate executives. He currently serves on the board of directors of Libbey Inc. and GSW Inc. and previously served on the board of directors of Fay's Inc before its acquisition By J.C. Penney. Mr. Moreau was honored by the World Economic Forum as a Global Leader of Tomorrow in 1993. He is a published author and frequent speaker.
